Re: Looking Back

because, like clcman said, I'm one of those "two-bit hacks" who tapes two things together and calls it original...because I can. Hey, that was Judge Yorawner talking, not me. I happen to have a crossover case of my own... Well, a lot of the things said in those Awards Ceremony things are ...

Re: [T][CE] Turnabout of the Final Day.

This case, in its unfinished form, nevertheless won first place in the Shelter in Place case competition. It received the following awards: https://imgur.com/HVpaYMM.png Actual Winner Award For moderate competence in the field of trialmaking. https://imgur.com/zBZdYMK.png Golden Paintbrush For exce...

Re: [CE] [M] Last Window: The Secret of the Rancid Burger ●

A short case (which is to be expected, seeing that there are only three characters), but a fun one anyway. Some interesting alternate endings as well as a satisfying main one. And yes, I fell for the 'breaking the door down' bit. Good use of the pictures, sprites, and music. The music from the games...

Re: [T][CE] Turnabout of the Final Day.

Hold it, how did you manage to play it? It's not available to the public! I only gave the link to 2. And don't spoil it! Sorry. It must have been made public by accident. In any case, it seems like an interesting idea, though it's hard to tell where it's going. In any case, I won't spoil too much. ...

Re: [T][CE] Turnabout of the Final Day.

The case came to a sudden and abrupt 'The End' during the 'Mental Trial' portion. No conclusion, no catharsis. No indication that this is the ending. Just Athena at the defense bench not knowing how to proceed at that point with the words 'The End' in the lower box. Either this is a bug, or the cas...

Re: Ideal Game Length

As far as I've observed, the length of a trial has no impact on performance in the player, but longer trials do slow down the editor. How severe the slowdown is depends on your browser and your computer. So there is no point at which breaking a trial becomes "a must" for anybody. It depen...

Hi Esrom! Thanks for your comments! If you want a walkthrough for the trial for William's testimony it's shown below: present the west elevator at the statement where he says "we went over to the west end of the floor and then went down the stairs" or something along those lines (forgotte...

Re: [M] The Presidential Turnabout

I went into this with a great deal of curiosity. How does one do an Ace Attorney case revolving around one of the biggest unsolved mysteries of them all? How does one handle a case based on real events that we may never really know the full story behind? Of course, the reason why one would do such a...

Re: [T] Imperishable Turnabout

Well, I'm played the case. I'm not familiar with Touhou (I was introduced to Patchouli Knowledge and Alice Margatroyd in a fan crossover RPG but that's about it), but thankfully, one doesn't have to be. Our viewpoint character at the start is Phoenix, who is encountering Gensokyo and its quirky inha...

Re: [T] Turnabout Apprentice ●

The case itself is pretty solid. But there's one detail that I found hard to swallow. That would be the explosion at the convention killing all the other lawyers in the country. Maybe it's just me but it strains credibility that nearly ALL of any country's practitioners of ANY profession would be g...

Re: [T] Turnabout Apprentice ●

Well, I must say this was an interesting case. First of all, the different cast with a different setting and a VERY different style of courtroom - one owing more to 'Law and Order' and other procedurals than Ace Attorney - are a nice change. The courtroom may look more like U.S. and English courtroo...

Re: [T] Turnabout Apprentice ●

Just starting it. Hmm, it appears to be set in an English setting. Interesting. And there's also been a catastrophe of some sort which has resulted in a shortage of good lawyers. Well, obviously that's not good but of course it raises the stakes for our protagonist. Will probably comment more once I...

It's a silly comedy premise, but I like the outdoor courtroom. Not sure if the grass really works, but otherwise a nice demo of 'outdoor courtroom' graphics.

After finding out how well this case did in the 'Setting the Stage' competition, I've got to check this one out. Some 'stream of consciousness' musings follow. Sector 3DS? :) I would think Phoenix would have a DVD player. And I would think that, as popular as the Steel Samurai series and its related...

Re: [T][CE] Strangers in the Land of Turnabouts ●

Well, this was certainly an interesting and surreal experience. Where do I begin? The opening is one that probably will make a lot more sense to those who've already seen the rest, as it's largely an out of context monologue And yet, even when I first saw it, some of it still made a bit of sense. It...
