Important update !

It's now possible to create investigation phases through a special interface in the editor !

To do that, you have to use the new action "Create a new place to investigate". Just like it does for CE's, a new block will be created. It contains 5 tabs : Main screen, Talk, Present, Examine, Move.

In the Main screen tab, you can :
  • Set the background and character picture and the sound of the central message. The central message is the one that will contain the "Talk, Present, Examine, Move" menu.
  • Change the place's name. You have to change the text field's content, then click "Change" to confirm.
  • Set the place as hidden or not. If it's hidden, it won't be visible when the "Move" action is used from another place, until it's revealed through the action "Reveal a place".
  • Delete this place by double-clicking the button.
  • Adding an intro conversation, which will be played only the first time the user visits the place.
In the Talk tab, you can add several themes to discuss by clicking the "Add" button. For each conversation, you can :
  • Change its title : click on the "Change title" button, then indicate its new title.
  • Set it as hidden or not. If it's hidden, it won't be visible when the player is viewing the list of themes, until it's revealed with the "Reveal a conversation" action.
  • Delete the conversation (double-click the red cross icon)
  • Add texts to this conversation by clicking the "Add" row under it.
In the Present tab, you can add conversations to play when the player presents evidence. The "Add" button will add a conversation for a piece of evidence.
There's also a default conversation, "Other evidence", that you can't delete and will be read when the player presents a piece of evidence that is not listed above.
For each conversation you can define to which evidence it corresponds with the Type and Id fields.

In the Examine tab, you can add conversations to read when the user clicks on a zone on the central message's background. Remember that you must have set a background to the central message in the main screen. Here too, the "Add" button will add a conversation.
For each conversation, you can choose the coordinates of the area that must be clicked, by using the "Set Coordinates" button. This will only work if there is a background for the central message !
The "Other coordinates" conversation will be read if the player clicks anywhere else.

In the Move tab, you can choose the possible other places to go from this one, if you've create several places. You'll have to click "Refresh places list", then click on a place on the left to make it appear on the right. All places that are displayed on the right are the possible destinations from this place.

PS : Before you ask, the only way to leave an investigation phase is to use the "Skip directly to a message" action. It's not yet possible to end the investigation "as soon as everything has been done", but this may be added in the future (perhaps a far future, depending on the free time I get) :)
