With the competition over, I had plans to go back and fix this case, as the actual "trial/mystery" is something I'm actually happy with, but if the competition has taught me anything, I'm not sure why I keep trying to write or develop cases. They don't go anywhere, but instead just fall apart, ha ha. The big criticism stems from the "Character X" narrative strand, which didn't really connect in with the whole case. It was just a hangover from my first case I completed for the comp, and I threw it into Remembrances because I could. This case title should be fairly obvious, actually. Remembrances is the title for Episode 8 of Book 4 (Legend of Korra), aka the clip show episode, which has Varrick recount a crazy tale involving everything that has happened so far in the past four books. And while it doesn't make a lot of sense, it's just a highly imaginative story to pass time. Perhaps I should have made it clear it was just a "story" at the beginning, instead of the reveal at the end. Well, that's what I've done. I've kept everything in tact, even the crazy "Character X" scenes.

So enjoy, I guess. You don't need a walkthrough. It's pretty easy and self-explanatory. All of the objections are easy enough, and if you get it wrong, there are plenty of hints. Press all statements to get the maximum information. Everything is hinted at, so the mystery can be easily solved. There is a very cool objection failure sequence in the first CE, so why not fail and check it out? Don't worry, it's only a small penalty...

Enjoy the case. It has a lot of homages, references and whatnot. Try and spot all the homages, there's quite a number of them. Some unintentional, even. Anyway, Remembrances might be crap, but it's still better than TSD or MSAT. :P

Totally not BB here reporting in to say I was rather shocked at the inclusion of a certain character. Quite enjoying how it's turning out, though.

Very big thanks to Mr. SwagmaWampyr who kindly offered to extend the ending. With the very small addition at the beginning making it clear Remembrances is Wright just telling a story, the extended ending really allows for Apollo to be your voice and point out how ridiculous the plot is. :wink:

D'aw. Thanks. ;-;

Was the least I could do. The whole point of the case made me chuckle and gave me kind of a wake up call.

Let me say that, I quite liked this case even if the end was sort of a mind screw. This is a case that's, well, it's not really a case but a ride, in my opinion. The writing was good, the characters were good but... That ending. Now, let it be known, this isn't an insult or anything. No, I think part of the fun comes from wrapping my head around what the case was, well, about. In any case, it was enjoyable and I had fun. Even if I'm left pleasantly confused! X3

Good job, Tap!

Even though I'm still playing the game, my attorney's badge is actually an autopsy report?

I'd forgotten entirely about that little annoying feature of v6... Well, worry not. I've marked Remembrances and Hope Springs as 'publicly released'! Now you can return to your dessert. :wink:

Just from the first scene alone, I already love this. I just wish that Dynah Frost's sprites worked. ;-;
I may respond later with thoughts, and if not, then I forgot or overestimated my ability to get things done.
