I second that. Like Turnabout Turnabout, this trial has an absurd logic from the beginning till the end, but this logic makes actually sense in this universe to create a quite coherent story. Once you "get in the mood" this trial is really pleasant to play and I was surprised at some points that I was actually hyped up by the story and how it went, despite its voluntary badness. :XD:

In my Opinion, from the three, this trial manages the best to juggle between a coherent and catching story, a fine execution and at the same time a parodic writing of the worst cases in AAO, a nonsensical scenario and and all that that implies. Congrats for this deserved win !

What I found surprising was how much I enjoyed the puzzles, and how clever and creative they were, even if most of them didn't really make sense in a normal world. Turnabout Turnabout really only had one puzzle like that:
Spoiler : Turnabout Turnabout :
"The Defendant's Fingerprints."

I finished playing through this. The delivery didn't work for me, but I doubt I was ever in the target audience to begin with.

Congratulations on the win.

The just-off deliveries and the weird logic that still somehow can be figured out make this case for me! Definitely see how it won.
Spoiler : Chapter 3 :
Kristoph using the red cards to disguise himself was basically the highlight of this whole thing for me.

Kiwi6 is a very broken site. I'll fix it when my laptop eventually gets internet connection.
It now works

Having played this, some quick comments!

First of all, I did enjoy it a great deal, especially the well-clued and entirely fair and completely ridiculous puzzle about
Spoiler : endgame :
How Kristoph got past Godot
It's not easy to make a case this gleefully dumb without making it completely obtuse and frustrating, so I congratulate you on sticking to the comp theme while still making a game that's fun to play. And this is really VERY ambitious for a complete gag trial, so credit for that, too.

One gameplay issue:
Spoiler : one issue :
There really should be a response for presenting the hands when Kristoph says the game was fair - something along the lines of 'I don't see how a little bit of cheating like that REALLY changes this testimony, but I should remember it for later!'
The case comp makes it hard to judge a case like this, full of deliberate doofiness. I think one potential issue is that the tone is too consistently ridiculous. That's not to say that it shouldn't be, but that comedy requires some kind of contrast. If everything is ridiculous at all times, there's not enough variety to keep each joke funny.

But even if many of the jokes don't land, there are just so many jokes that I was bound to laugh at some point, and for the most part, this case is quite good at making the player feel like they're participating in the joke, rather than just having a prank played on them.

I think if this were going up for featured case, I'd recommend polishing it more - adding more responses to unexpected presentations, expanding some of the jokes, and so on. "Deliberately bad" is funny, but "deliberately bad and yet very polished in all respects" is even funnier, because it means you put a ton of effort into making an absurd thing perfect.
"A slow sort of country!" said the Queen. "Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!"
