I'm not sure that stabbing over the couch works. That's a lot of distance between you and the back of a person who is standing a foot or so away from the couch. It might work if the culprit could lean over the couch, but then you'd want the back of the couch to Phoenix. Which you could do. Phoenix's office looked like a war zone already.
