Re: ★ Trial: The Bitter Turnabout
Wait a minute. Driko's post just gave me the best idea in the world.
The German section is desperately searching for people to join, since right now it's pretty barren. A trial like this, if posted there, would bring more people in for sure. I'd offer to translate, but my German is too basic for that. If someone could translate this, that would be great for the GS.
Oh, and I love this trial so much.

Re: ★ Trial: The Bitter Turnabout
This is an epic idea indeed. But, I was thinking...could the favor somehow be returned? I'd love to see trials from other sections translated to English (Though I couldn't help, being mono-English and all)

Re: ★ Trial: The Bitter Turnabout
I know some very basic Spanish, but not fluently or well enough to seem like I really know the language. I doubt I could translate a trial to Spanish, but I could probably go FROM Spanish if I had somebody to edit it for me.
I could attempt like so:

Re: ★ Trial: The Bitter Turnabout
Hey Hodou Okappa,
My wife and I just played this game recently, and we had a fun time playing it! It was actually my wife's first time playing an AAO case that wasn't just play-testing one of my Omniscient Game rounds. She said it felt just like the real thing!
I would say that it felt more like an alternate ending to Case 3-5 rather than a Case 3-6, but I was really amazed at how well you re-tied the ending of that case to work out completely differently. Good job on making it work too!
Also, the characters were all spot-on. Everything felt just right, all the characters said the right things and perfectly in character. I loved having so many major characters all involved in one case like that.
The "fake testimony" didn't make a whole lot of sense to us; ie we didn't understand why it was "fake"... but that's about the only major issue. The others were simple presentation issues, such as someone speaking while thinking or something like that.
Hope to play another of your trials someday!

Re: ★ Trial: The Bitter Turnabout
Thanks! Yeah there are still quite a few issues. This trial was made and featured pretty much right before the standards for length and quality of a trial got overhauled -- it's still pretty short, designed so you can finish it in a single sitting, and still has some of the early v5 issues that I either forgot to fix or just plain couldn't. I'm glad you liked it despite that, though.

Honestly, I had already played this a few years ago, when I was still impressed and on edge. I am eager to see another one of your productions.

No of course not. That would be ridiculous. I'm not currently working on anything.Jean Of mArc wrote:Do you plan on making another case, Hodou?
