Re: DGS spoiler rules (7/12/2015)

Post by migueloukao »

So, if I understood correctly, using the following soundtrack from DGS would exclude my case from featuring, is that correct?
Spoiler : :
Announce The Truth. I have no clue if I posted this under a spoiler tag correctly, second time posting here.
What about PLvsAA rules? Are they lifted?

Also, what about using this background from GK2? I'm not sure if GK2's rules have been entirely lifted or not.
Spoiler : :
The side-stand for witnesses
And this GK2 character:
Spoiler : :
Manfred's sweat sprite
Thank you very much. Have a franziska smile. :fran:

GK2 and PLvsAA spoilers are allowed.

A case can be featured with optional music spoilers. (See Turnabout Pairs.)

Ah, I've played Turnabout Pairs, I get what you mean.
What if there's a disclaimer, right at the start, saying the case contains DGS music?

This has not been discussed. As such, "You should not ask for your case to be featured if it contains spoilers" remains in effect here.

No, optional as in "players don't have to play with the spoiler music if they don't want to."

Alright, thank you very much for the clarifications. :redd:

GS6 OST

With the soundtrack now out in Japan, what's the current rules on using it in our trials here?

Thanks for the reminder. I'm hoping to get this list updated soon, the big holdup being listing the pre-release safe tracks.

Per usual, music spoilers must be marked until six months after the English release. In other words, AA6 spoilers go down sometime in March. A trial can be featured with optional music spoilers.

I only plan on using the court-room music.

So I need to put spoilers in the game thread when I release it?

Well, better late than never - have the updated spoiler rules. The same ones for DGS apply for SoJ, but I've changed some of the wording so that it's easier to change the post when a game's spoiler status changes.

They probably should have been taken down already!

I'll remove them officially in two weeks, to give people fair warning that the rules have changed.

And, officially lifted for SoJ, DGSII spoiler rules now officially in place.

Spoiler rules have been updated for Chronicles! In keeping with our usual six-month policy, DGS/Chronicles spoilers will be fair game on Jan. 27, 2022.
