@Frenchy: OOOOOHHHHHH! THATS why I had to frameskip past the Scapegoat testimony! Yeah, I had the same problem...yeah, really should have thought of that in retrospect...

Small issue: when I found all 4 contradictions, it still went back to the testimony. I had to present the safe a second time (I have no idea why I did that, mostly to see whether it would lead to a penalty) for the game to proceed.
EDIT:
Beat it! And without cheating, too.
Spoiler : :
I must admit I opened the safe. I'm too curious :D
I knew I shouldn't open it (why would you even ask the question otherwise?) but I also kind of foresaw the twist about the whole trial being fake, so I thought that finding out more about the crime would be more important than saving a defendant who probably wasn't in danger anyway.

In any case, it's a work of true genius. Certainly the most intellectually stimulating trial since... well, Virtual (you really do know how to make those ). Great story, great crime, great contradictions, great music. What I really love about your cases is that we get a weird sensation, from start to finish, that some omniscient mastermind is toying with us and testing us. Also, your games always touch the very core of what makes mysteries fun. We can feel the pleasure you get out of writing and your love for twisting conventions ; this shared feeling, almost like a complicity, is the mark of a remarkable author. Congratulations on making this brilliant case, and needless to say, I'm looking forward to your next puzzle!
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it that much. Looking forward to your next case as well, of course. :)

I really do not know about that bug... it seems to work for some and doesn't for others. I triple-checked that part but couldn't find something wrong...

Anyway here's the list of the music I used, as requested:

Ah, great, I wanted that list too :D

Regarding my problem, it might help you to know that
Spoiler : :
I'd preventively saved before pointing out the fourth contradiction.

...It only took a couple of frames for me to decide not to play this. Not because of the difficulty... but rather because I'm totally weak when it comes to horror and supernatural subjects like those in this trial. ._. I can't do it. Sorry Blackrune. :(

You should still totally play it! There isn't any actual "horror"... and in terms of the supernatural stuff, if you could get through the spirit channeling in PW you can get through this :P

The trial is not scary and only relies on reason (in fact, moreso than PW games, who sometimes rely on spirit mediums).

EDIT: Argh, beat me to it.

Ryu, just play it through the end. Trust me on this. Please just trust me on it. It'll all be clear by the ending.

I'll PM you with the reason why there is no reason you can't play this if you absolutely must know, but it's going to ruin the ending big time.

I swear I'm never going to understand how you two figured out the gun trick. That was just totally nuts and mindblowing. Both the gun trick, AND the fact that you two figured it out without cheating. I'm also never going to understand what gave away the gag ending, you two are really supercomputers and not human beings i swear
Spoiler : :
Well, after getting close to the truth but not quite in Virtual, I was determined to do it in OHoaT, as much as I could. And the thing that screwed me up the most in Virtual was the chair... and as soon as the clock was added to the Court Record, I knew it was going to be OHoaT's chair, so I was thinking about it and how it could used basically the entire trial. And when Ingrun was like "How could I have thrown the gun out the window?" it just clicked for me xD

...Also, I didn't know it was just a gag trial until I got to the gag ending xD

Hey Meph, why don't you review "Hell Hath no Fury Like a Turnabout?"

LOL jk...

My case needs a revamp before I can ask for a QA review on that. Thank goodness I have to revamp that part.

I'm also pretty sure Blackrune will get this review in the bag.

And Meph, that's why Tap is your 3rd reviewer.

QA review
I should be reviewing TheFifthAce's trial right now, but since this one is short, I'll do it first. ;)
  • Are you going to add a date to the location dialogue? :)
  • It says "Part 1" in the title. Are you making any other parts?
  • Remove the spaces after after dashes in sentences such as "A- hem."
  • Yay! Crazy Uminiko music!
  • Correction / Today, on the 31th of March at 3:00, a man got murdered by Phoenix Wright. / Today, on the 31th of March at 3:00, a man was murdered by Phoenix Wright.
  • Try and make von Karma really patronising, especially at the start. He's not scary enough.
  • von Karma should refer to Gavin as the victim. He doesn't care about what his name is.
  • Please use the Rebuttal sprite.
  • von Karma does not use colloquial terms.
  • Correction (the Judge's dialogue) / von Karma / Mr von Karma.
  • von Karma shouldn't call Apollo "Polly". He's more likely to call him "kid".
Please don't edit the trial until the review is done. :)

There's a very good reason for excluding the date...you'll see
