I meant seems as in "appears like" because DK is always using seams... so I'm puzzled by it.

No. "Seems" is the correct spelling in most contexts. :)

Well, um... while I don't have especially much time to kill at the moment, I do think that the fact that you're taking measures to improve your grammar - which doesn't need to be capitalised, by the way - is commendable in and of itself. :)

Just keep at it, and remember: we all started out with the basics; grammar nazis such as myself are no exception to this rule. (IIRC, I started studying English round and about 4 years ago, yet I still have the nerve to consider myself semi-fluent. Such cheek.)

Speaking of Grammar, it seams it is improving all the time and I feel more free with words.

Let's try a line of a story again;

The young girl pulled her coat tighter around her, boy she had not realised how cold it was.
Shaking like a leaf she watched in horror as the first white flake kissed the ground.
She had no where to go; or a home.
Ace Attorney Poem.

What a crime is done.
Gumshoe's has come.
His name is Dick.
It's a point and click.

*boy, she had not realised how...
*nowhere (Actually, I'm not sure on this...)
Anyway, you're getting better with Grammar, DK. Also, that "had not" just looks "off" to my eyes, but that's because I always shorten the word in formal things.

Ha! It seems like I made some improvements and I want to thank you for all you help. It is very nice of you to help me out
though we must realise that some uk spelling, the computer will not pick up.
Do to the fact it is set to what they refer to as American English. Such as the word with the 's' instead of a 'z' in this paragraph.
also words which are different but have the same meaning can also be confused.

I am going to try this again,

Effect: ' Is the doing word: It means what is happening the the character.'

Affect: 'Is that of a illness such as cold.'

Phoenix Wright fell of dusky Bridge was affected with a cold.

The weather had a great effect on Maya Fey as she hug herself to try to keep warm.

Sorry to repeat myself but the last time I put that up it got removed, so I started this thread about Grammar instead.
Ha! That is called being clever! Just joking I don't want to come over a smart Alic because that would be stupid.

Effect is a noun. Affect is a verb. You might be thinking of the word "infect" when you were talking about how "affect" is to do with illnesses. :)

Here maybe this might help:

http://grammar.yourdictionary.com/style ... ammar.html

I am not sure if this is right but it is the Grammar part of it that got me thinking, it seems that we all make mistakes and
it is not fair to point out one. I would like to take the moment to thank Meph and the whole team for creating this wonderful fun site.

So Thank you to all.

EDIT: or this link;

http://www.writersblock.ca/tips/monthtip/tipsep99a.htm

EDIT 2: It seems the word ' Affect' can be uses as a verb too no wonder it is tricky so that makes both word a doing word. Sometimes.
Though this effects the result of such wording and make it harder for people to understand the English language with many words that all sound the same but have an entirely different meaning.

The best examples are as follows.

Hair/Hare

Saw/sore

threw/through

Their/there/ They're

These words are what make the language so hard to learn and it may take weeks maybe years to get the right one in the right place so do not worry about it. Here is some pointers: as you helped me i would like to help you.

The hair on top of my head.

The wild hare hopped away.

She saw that her foot was twisted.

Her foot was sore.

She threw a ball through a hoop.

It was their day.

There it was, the house that they wanted to see.

They're off somewhere today, I do not know where.

The last one could be dialogue or speech

" They're off some where today, I do not know where."

She sighed running a hand through her ruffled hair.

Edit: Oh forgot to mention working on a case using the three word limit for dialogue.

No offense, but most of us on here already know basic grammar and language rules. I understand you're trying to perhaps help a non-English speaker learn it, but the way you're teaching it makes it seem like we don't know basic grammar.

I know I have seen some errors myself but hey do not be cross with me please
it just a little friendly reminder. I am not saying no one knows basic grammar.

In fact this posting is excellent, well done to all of you!

I am aware that the English language is hard to learn my mum teaches it.
so I thought I put up little reminders if that is alright I am sure if this topic get too overboard it can be removed or closed. Please try and stay on topic all I wanted to know was how my grammar is. Lets try a kind word to all the creators and mods of this game.

How is this for my grammar?

I can't believe I didn't see your post till now Energizer, DK already explained awhile back that this is a learning experience/test for her. Have you ever thought she's writing it in a "teaching" format so she can be evaluated by others on how she's doing with her grammar?

Also DK is English not your main language?

Edit: Nvm I looked at your profile, got confused one with one part of your post :P

English is my first language. I just thought I would ask peoples opinion of my writing as I am currently working on a book.
based on law. It will be my first one in the crime fiction.

This is why I want your opinions. Hope this is fine with all of you!

How am I doing so far?

Hope this clears up the confusion a little: It's to help me not only in the forums but on my trials so they are less random and easier to work out what is going on. I am determining to make the next short film prologue the best one I have done but be warned there is a spoiler in it watch the your trials thread for more information this one will try to include the three word for dialogue rule.

This is the whole reason I though if you help me, I can help you a friendly sharing thing. Because that is what friends do.
also if your wondering I am female.
