September/October Contest Discussion/Sign-up Thread

Post by NatLazy »

ATTENTION: The Deadline for trials has been extended!
Please have them in NO LATER THAN 10:00 PM OCTOBER 18!!

Due to popular demand, the contest is back with a new Hostess!

Haha, no just kidding ^_^

Welcome all ye trial makers to my attempt at holding the monthly contest!

The rules this time are simple enough:

This month’s theme: School Murder!
(I figure this is appropriate for this time of year as many are headed back for classes.)

HOWEVER: There are catches, of course:

1)Wesley Stickler (of Panty Snatching fame!) Must be in your trial. Of course, he can be wherever you’d like him to be, but it’d be nice if he was something noticeable, like the victim, defendant, or key witness rather than just referenced.

2)The line, “But I don’t know WHERE the bathroom is.” MUST be in there. (Past tense: "But I didn't know where the bathroom was" Is also allowed)

3)Somewhere in your evidence pile must be the evidence called “Calculus notes”. These notes obviously must be important somehow.

4) Deadline~ October 14, 5:00 PM CST (This is 6:00 PM EST)

Of course, please stick to the original rules of Joneleth and make it of decent length (Between 300-600 Frames), also try fitting the Ace Attorney humor style (What’s a case without humor?). And as always, have fun making the trial!

Completed Trials I will ask to be placed in a thread I shall create aptly named: Contest of September/October 2008: Finished cases!

Teams are welcome also, just as long as they don’t have more than three people and I would also like to be informed of the members of the team, so I can have a list of competitors placed in the first post of the Completed thread.

This Thread is now open for discussion, questions and formation of teams!

I am looking for a Partner Center:
Videocrazy would be willing to work with somebody
If you are interested in working with somebody, please PM them or leave a post here in the thread :) Thanks!

Baal is signing up!

This time, I might be able to have some unusual fun.

Oh, yes, for once, I actually have a mental image of my case forming out in my mind. Let's do this! Yosh!

Yay! I actually had an idea for a new case that had to do with a school... I'll sign up, although I cannot guarantee I'll be able to actually go through with this, with HW and all. :x

Is it okay if my case runs into two parts if I can get them both out within the time limit? I find it hard to do my style of case in one part, unless I take an excessive number of frames.

Two parts will be allowed, Baal. That was a good question.

And Fuzz, I'll put you on the list, but don't feel pressured to finish it by the deadline. That's just there for contest entries. All trials received after the 13th of October will just be more or less show off how well you can stick to the guidelines.

I look forward to seeing how these turn out!

Aubergine

Like that? Or like this:

Aubergine

Incidentally, how many people involved in a case is too many? In the manner that I envision my case, it could become rather large in terms of people involved...

Hmmm... how many were you thinking of having? Like more than 20?

On the required people, I'm currently up to 18. I could easily get 25.

Soooo... yeah.

I could have a huge case on my hands if I don't simplify things.
