How do I end an investigation.

Post by ProsecutorGodot17 »

I want to finish my investigation to go on to a trial, but I cannot find a way to end the investigation with an event or an action. Any help would be great. Thanks :larry:

If the investigation and the trial are in the same part, use the Redirect to another frame action. If they are in different parts, make sure they are in the same series from the trial manager, and use the End the game action and make it redirect to the next part.

Don't you also need to know about variables to do this? A simple redirect isn't enough. What if you have to add evidence from both a Talk option and an Examine portion?

That depends on if the investigation is linear. Based on the question, there is a certain point in the investigation that OP already has ready where they want to end the investigation, no ifs, ands, or buts. However, if for example you have to collect Evidence A and Evidence B, you can set variables when those are collected, and check if they are both true.

Ah I see that's a neat feature. But I was playing around with the Redirect to another frame, and it gave me a THE END. I will try out the same series trial manager thing, however. Thanks!
