Wow that sounds really nice! I love the instrument choice and that sort of ambience it has. I really like it :larry:

It's got a nice feel and the idea is there! However, I think this particular would be more fitting of a Court Begins section :)

By the way, I highly recommend you tweak a bit more the volume of certain audio tracks 00:19 onwards, for example. I also hear a dissonance in there in the first two chords made by the low strings, be careful about that! ;)

So, this is different, and totally off-topic, AND NOBODY can use it (Sorry). And it's not a sprite, but it is a car! It's my 3 year anniversary car from my first day of pixelling!

Hey guys, guess who's returned! Sorry for my absence, I'v just been super busy with school. But I'm off for the summer and I did a lot to Mr. Patterson! I changed his body completely to the new Phoenix Wright stature, but I also made it a little thinner and taller to match the perspective of Josh's head. The arms are the same as they were before, and the body itself could use a few fixes. I hope you guys enjoy! Music may come soon enough as well.

Patternson sprite looks pretty good.
But somehow, I feel the talking sprite seems a little weird ...
I don't really know why tho ... perhaps it's a little slow? IDK.

I love the car graphics, really cool!!

I think the reason the talking sprite looks off is that the order of the frames is weird. The talking animations for canon sprites have three different mouths: an open mouth, a mouth that looks like it's making a "w" sound, and a closed mouth. The order of those in talking sprites is open-W-open-closed, and it just loops from there.

Animation aside, that sprite is really nice; I can tell it's frankensprited, but it's a lot less obvious than some of the ones I've seen. Some cleaner lineart, and it'd be perfect. The car graphics are also pretty great; you're really good with pixelart overall.

Thanks guys! I'm just saying though that I made that car almost a year ago xD I really want to make the sprite so that one cannot tell that it's been frankensprited but I have a feeling that will be very difficult.

I've actually got a spriting tutorial on how to make frankenspriting less obvious, if you're interested. (Sorry for the self-advertisement ^^; )

While there is no gif, I changed up his character a bit to the point where I personally think it's a completely new character. Also, I fixed up a lot of line issues as well as made the outfit look like a suit instead of an unintended trenchcoat :P

EDIT: Edited quite a bit to make his posture more correct and other detailing.

You did an amazing job at making it not look like a frankensprite; I can't see any signs of frankenspriting at all. The only issues the sprite has at this point are lineart issues; they do throw off the sprite, but it's the only issue, which is really good. Hair is usually outlined in Ace Attorney sprites, so I'd start there, and then I'd just clean up the rest of the lineart. Even if it's not perfect, it's still really good. Heck, even sprites from the first game had lineart stuff like this. Rock on.

Thanks! Your comment means a lot! My main goal is that hopefully people won't say "It looks good for your first sprite" but instead say "Damn, that looks really good for any try!"

Anyways, an update:

And he objects to your comment!

The head should be more forward with its placement on the neck, otherwise they're nice edits. One of the best Apollo sleeve-to-suit edits I've seen, it's nice.

Welcome back XD For some reason I thought it wasn't your first sprite somehow...it's a nice sprite XD
