From Bulbapedia: "Guard Split will ignore both the user and the target's stat changes when calculating the average."

Meaning: the actual calculation for the move uses only the unboosted stats for both Pokemon, but as a second effect it also swaps stat boosts. It's just a technicality to avoid confusion when moves like Haze come into play, it's functionally identical.
Also known as: okappa, houdou.

So, buffs can still be transferred, but haze can still de-buff, but it won't affect the switched stats?

That's Guard Swap, not Guard Split.

The special Pokemon announcement turned out to just be Pokken.

Unfortunately, it seems to be arcade only? But... Who knows for sure?

Do arcades still even make money? Still, it looks interesting. Part of me hopes it's just fighting types (so I could play as Primate, Hitmonchan/lee/top, Poliwrath, Blaziken, Emboar, Breloom (see how that awkward guy even punches), Medicham, etc. Part of me hopes it includes all types of Pokemon for awesomeness reasons.

Arcades in Japan are still pretty profitable. People are saying that probably it's launch on Arcades, get ported to Wii u afterwards. Currently, we have no word of an NA launch, but... It's Pokemon. Most Pokemon things make their way stateside eventually.

Fighting games always start in arcades. It'll definitely be stateside and on Wii U next year some time.

Sharpedo's always been somewhat of a threat, but has always had something holding it back. Megapedo may prove to be powerful.

... also, anyone think it's sorta disjointed that a rabbit (numel) becomes cow (camerupt)? Anyway, kinda disappointed that there isn't a MegaTorkoal. I kinda want one. Also, YAY MEGA GALLADE~ <3
