Sherlock

Post by DLA »

This is a thread to talk about the BBC TV series, Sherlock.
For those who haven't heard of it, it's basically a modern-day version of Sherlock Holmes, using modern technology to solve the crimes. The episodes so far are pretty similar to the original stories. I am currently obsessing over it, watching the Season 2 episodes.

I've watched these.

Can't say the season 2 ending hasn't kept me theorizing and hooked for more. xD
Very nice alterations to the original stories... and pretty great cast.

My friend is a fan and has been trying to force me to watch this. I now have the both seasons borrowed from her and I'm waiting to find time to actually watch them. This thread was a nice reminder...

I've watched the 1st season, it was great, some things are different from the books, but it's still great !
Soon I'm gonna watch season 2.

You should watch them, Sherlock Holmes is great ! Your friend is right. I've done the same thing to a friend once. (Not with Sherlock Holmes but with Doctor Who, and Phoenix Wright... and other things :XD: )

Just finished watching the Reichenbach Fall.
Spoiler : Spoilers for Season 2, Episode 3 and The Stolen Turnabout :
I couldn't help but notice the similarities between this episode and the Stolen Turnabout. Think about it, compare Luke Atmey to Sherlock Holmes, Moriarty to Mask DeMasque, and then consider that the newspapers said Sherlock created Moriarty. It's just like Atmey with DeMasque in the Stolen Turnabout, except it's true in Stolen Turnabout.
Loved the ending.
Spoiler : Season 2, Episode 3 ending spoilers. :
How exactly did he pull off the fake death? Another body from St. Bart's?

I'm so excited about the third season and the solution for 2-3.
Spoiler : :
Also, Moriarty will be dead. :( I think that is pretty sad, because I loved him. But I think there will be another 'real' Moriarty

This series made me love Benedict Cumberpatch so much! He is such an amazing person with an amazing voice. I can't wait to see him play the villain in Star Trek...
Spoiler : Everything :
This series as a whole was so amazing. The last episode had me on the edge of my seat, it was soo good!
Although I bet I'm with lots of people when I think to myself... 'How did he survive?!' :O

Also, I forget which episode it was but the one about the 'Giant Monster with Legs' and everyone was scared of the 'beast' in the woods.
That was so unique. And I pretty much love it whenever Sherlock deduces pretty much anything.
Also, Bilbo Baggins~

Can't wait for Season 3!

Think that's why so many relationships fail, because people wind up forcing themselves to find good in the other person, play up who they are to appear more attractive to them... but well... real love is being yourself, with someone who cares about you and accepts you for who you are.

That's the first time when I find quite an unattractive main character sexy. Smart is the new sexy, indeed!

I somehow felt that His Last Vow didn't live up to the standards set by "The Great Game". Yeah, Episode 3 of Series 1 is still the best series finale. However, Sign of Three was amazing. I feel that it's the best non-finale in the series!

(Yeah, this post is really just bumping this entire forum.)

I disagree - The Reichenbach Fall is by far my favourite of the three.

I wasn't a fan of most of series 3, but I agree that The Sign of Three was an amazing episode - the only one of the three to properly hit the mark with its new, character-focused direction.
