Turnabout Serenade Rant (Spoilers for Apollo Justice)

Ok, so I'm replaying Apollo Justice right now and I just finished Turnabout Serenade. To be honest, it is one of my favorite cases if not my favorite case in the game. I don't understand all of the flack it gets and it honestly frustrates me to see how much hate a good case gets. Let me start off with the whole Machi as a defendant thing. Yes a 14 year old boy seems like an unlikely suspect to shoot the gun and carry the body of Romein Letouse the whole way to the stage, however if you consider the original circumstances, he is really the only one who could've pulled off the crime. The murder was originally thought to have taken place during the 3rd set, a time when all of then band members had alibis but Machi didn't. Not only that, if the murder did take place during the 3rd set, Apollo and Ema would've discovered the killer as there would've been nowhere for an adult human being to escape the room from. Machi, however, could've easily sneaked into the air vent. Machi also knew Romein before they arrived in the US so it's more likely that he had a motive than, say, Daryan, because it wasn't known that Romein was a part of Interpol at that time. The second part that a lot of people seem to have a problem with is Lamioir not revealing the magic trick to the court. I find no problem with this. The reason being in her past life before she became Lamiroir, she was a MAGICIAN. In Troupe Gramarye nonetheless (the same one Valant is from). While she may have forgotten about her past, she may have still, subconsciously or consciously, refused to reveal the trick due to the "Magician's Code". Another problem I hear is watching the Guitar's Serenade video too many times. While yes it may be tedious, wouldn't you want a real trial to be tedious to insure that the correct verdict is passed? If I was on trial, I would surely want them to watch that video as many times as possible if there was something to prove my innocence. The final problems regard Daryan Crescend. For one, people say he is an obvious suspect. While I don't disagree, Phoenix Wright isn't just about the Whodunnits, but also the Howdunnits. And the Howdunnits in this case and mostly all other Phoenix Wright cases interest me. The second problem I hear with Daryan is the way you take him down. While yes, it may seem anticlimactic, it fits the tone of the game. That tone being that the justice system in their universe is flawed. All in all, I love all Phoenix Wright cases, and I don't think any are too flawed to the point of being hated as much as say Turnabout Serenade or Turnabout Big Top. :apollo:
