If we call them myths, then we acknowledge that they are simply myths. But, I don't really believe any myths. People say I have the mind of an accountant.

I believe a myth that you'll all probably think is very crazy.
I believe that most dinosaur species have existed in the last couple of centuries, but became extinct for various reasons.

Re: What myths do you believe in?
Then how do you explain ancient cultures that told stories of dragons. Ever heard of George and the Dragon? The Lock Ness Monster? Chinese Dragons? Many of them depict exact drawings of certain dinosaurs, even though they weren't discovered until hundreds or even thousands of years later?
And here's my definitive proof: how do you explain a dinosaur "fossil" that was recently discovered with flesh? That's impossible if it was millions of years old. Especially considering that it wasn't found buried in a place that would mummify its flesh for anywhere near that long.

Say what you want Mephy, but in this day and age forging of something like that wouldn't be impossible.Meph wrote:Then how do you explain ancient cultures that told stories of dragons. No, we're acknowledging that most others tend to see them as myths.jpm922 wrote:If we call them myths, then we acknowledge that they are simply myths. But, I don't really believe any myths. People say I have the mind of an accountant.

I believe that if you say something negative, the positive will occur. Basically, jinxing yourself.
No joke. Now that I've been putting on a positive outlook, I'm doing terrible on tests and getting bad days more often.

Nothing comes to mind at the moment, but I do have a story about the subject. When we were kids, I'd make fun of my sister for believing in the Loch Ness Monster, but she'd retaliate because I believed in the Sand Man.

Lol. It wasn't a forge. It was excavated by atheist archaeologists, so there's no bias.jpm922 wrote:Say what you want Mephy, but in this day and age forging of something like that wouldn't be impossible.

Re: What myths do you believe in?
I believe in nothing really.
I keep finding them hard to believe.
Especially if they are related to gods.
