That's not really a myth though. It's been proven that he's existed. But the "myth" (if you'd consider it that) is that he was the LORD. But I believe that too, so yeah. :XD:

Meph wrote:Then how do you explain ancient cultures that told stories of dragons. Ever heard of George and the Dragon? The Lock Ness Monster? Chinese Dragons? Many of them depict exact drawings of certain dinosaurs, even though they weren't discovered until hundreds or even thousands of years later?

And here's my definitive proof: how do you explain a dinosaur "fossil" that was recently discovered with flesh? That's impossible if it was millions of years old. Especially considering that it wasn't found buried in a place that would mummify its flesh for anywhere near that long.
I was gonna say sedimentation, but if it wasn't buried...

EDIT: Staying on-topic, I believe the Bogeyman's hiding under my bed.

This isn't a myth, but I guess it still counts.
Spoiler : Just in case you don't like my opinions about religion. It's nothing negative though. :
I believe somehow, if... I don't want to say this... um, if God is out there somewhere, which he... probably is out there but I can't say for sure because I don't even know what I'M saying, er... that he took a part of his soul and split it into millions of pieces and this pieces are us. That's why we're all brothers and sisters because we're all... connected?

...Yeah, I'm crazy. Laugh.

no it isn't. I kinda believe that too. I mean look at the nostrodomus predictions. He accurately predicted both world wars and 9/11.

Here's a big one, and I don't know quite why, but...

I believe in 2012.
I can't quite explain it, but something in me drives me to believe in it.

Think that's why so many relationships fail, because people wind up forcing themselves to find good in the other person, play up who they are to appear more attractive to them... but well... real love is being yourself, with someone who cares about you and accepts you for who you are.

...Welp, it's safe to say that the entire population of AAO believes in one myth or another. Except for me. I don't believe in anything!

I was unfamiliar of this until now. Is this the 9/11 prediction?

"In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb",
The third big war will begin when the big city is burning"

Because this was an invention of Neil Marshall (not to be confused with the King of Prosecutors) in an attempt to point out how a cryptic prophecy such as this could be interpreted to mean really anything you want.

I'd rather not, we could at least make it to 2020. That's a good number.

But in all seriousness, I suppose we'll see next year! Or not see, depending on how it ends up playing out.

Surely you believe in something. Your own existence, perhaps?

As for me, I don't believe any "myths," unless used in a broader sense perhaps, but I can't say I believe dinosaurs died off all at once in some catastrophe and I have a nagging feeling they never went extinct at all, but that's pushing into the myth area. Coelacanths were thought to be extinct, after all.

There's so much of this planet we've yet to explore, yet we all seem convinced that we understand it all. In a hundred years or so (presupposing the 2012 event doesn't occur), future generations will look upon our naivety as we do with previous generations today.

With that said, I don't think we'll ever completely understand reality until it ends and by then it will be completely inconsequential.

No, I don't think that is the one. It was the one where people mistook it for "doomsday is going to happen in 1999" but 1999 was really a clever re arrangement of 9/11/01 somehow. I don't know. It's really confusing. :random:

However that last part is interesting... WWIII? Maybe? And which city is the big city? NYC? Tokyo?

Following an insult with "to me" doesn't make it any less of an insult.
