Awww. We lost the Triathlon. Still, it was a really exciting race! And that photo finish was amazing!

The same reason they don't do football? Not enough countries play it enough I'd assume or something to that extent I'd assume. Or maybe its just not as cool as we think it is here :/

That could be. However, Beijing was the last time baseball/softball was in the Olympics. They did say that year that it would be their last.

You know what they should remove? Boxing. I know it's a popular sport worldwide. However, the judging has been very unprofessional for the last three Olympics. Until they can get competent judges and referees, this should stay out of the next one.

And you know what they should add? Karate. I'd love to see the kumite between two kareteka of different styles. As long as they're certified black belts in one of the many karate styles, they should compete, mano-a-mano.

We all know Asia/Latin America tends to dominates boxing in the Olympic world every single time :P

I feel sorry for the US Olympics boxing team...9 of the 10 boxing members are already out of the boxing competition. Didn't we use to dominate it back in the 60s/70s/80s? We've completely declined in that field.

But that's ok, cuz 'MURICA

@Drey, wait what? Per capita? What does that mean? You guys only have 3 gold medals in the event of Rowing (according to BBC).

The US has the most amount of gold medals right now at this point (mainly thanks to our swimmers, 16 gold medals total in that field), so I'm not quite sure what you mean by per capita.

Edit: I'm going to assume you mean as a smaller country you guys have the most medals per capita out of all other small countries.

Thanks for the update SE!

Seriously, regarding the big countries, it's a ****-swinging contest between China and the US.

Remember when it used to be US vs. the Soviet Union? :P
