I wish we had that many golds
Over 100 total, not golds. I think we're first in Gold, too. China beats the dust at 84 or something.

Re: London 2012 Olympics
I'm surprised that the mall I constantly go to is still displaying the final medal count. Probably because the Paralympics are starting?

Opening ceremony this evening!!!!!!
Apparently, Stephen Hawking is doing some narration. Once again, this ceremony is going to be somewhat based on Shakespear's The Tempest and the show will showcase disabled performers' capabilities in the arts.

Why the heck has it been relegated to Channel 4 (UK)? It deserves the same Olympic treatment! D: blast it all. >_<

So...did anyone watch the opening ceremony? I didn't because 1: I don't think the Paralympics are going to be as interesting, and 2: I was watching QI and Russell Howard's Good News.

If you think about it, the Paralympics are just as spectacular as the Olympics, because its almost exactly the same- sporting hopefuls who make the most out of their abilities to represent their country through sporting events.
And people say no one remembers those who are 2nd...
Food for thought.
