So's my mother, but I'm ignoring her. I want to do this for myself.

Shadow, please, beating yourself up over this will get nowhere. It's not really too big a deal after.

Anyway, I'm up to 21,689.

Sleuth, you could also consider holding off of doing the challenge until a more appropriate time rears its head. I found my story going nowhere fast, and being of subpar quality, so I'm using this month as planning and doing the actual 50000 words in December. If you are too busy, and you do sound fairly preoccupied from what I know, you may want to do this another time. What matters is the work, not the time.
