"I ask you, Katsurou Shirasagi, one question."

She points to the Mentalist in question.

"What colour were the bandages binding the unfortunate lucky student?!"

"Hm~! That's a good question, isn't it? Are the bandages black or white? Is a zebra black with white stripes or white with black stripes? Am I a black bear or a white bear, inside..."

Image

"Well, like any good question! The answer is obvious if you open your eyes once in a while!"

Image

"No offense, Mr. Hero of Justice."

Image

"So, take a look! You can see that these bandages are a wonderful, clear..."

Image

"Shade of Grey!"

Image

"Upupu... Which means no-one was right."

Image

"That's what happens when you put cloth into a pool filled with chemicals! Remember, kids! A pool is no substitute for a proper washing machine! Washing machines are 100%, infinitely superior!"

Image

"But some of you already knew that."

"So, the bandages could have been either black or white, but upon being soaked in the pool, they turned gray... Fine, looks like this argument has reached its end." Katsurou sends, seeming particularly disappointed at where the whole thing ended up going. "However, whoever the killer is, they had bandages on-hand at a time before yesterday. One of the visits to the Sick Bay was definitely for the straitjacket alone."

"But... there's something wrong here. The door to the Sick Bay opened three times. If Teruko was one of them, and the killer getting the straitjacket was the second one... then why was the door opened a third time?"

The puppeteer had appeared to see it fit to largely stay out of the duel of words and wits between mentalist and ninja. Some may wonder if she has been holding back some other insight. First, it was Sigmund's fake arm. More recently, it was the matter of seeing certain people on the second floor. Did she already have an answer to this latest issue? the gray bandages, the three visits?

Her continued silence does not appear poised to give the exasperated, exhausted survivors any confidence. Even Chartreuse, whose vocal intrusions are almost never welcomed, does not have their nasty voice ring and whine to the heavens with some joke-laden statement, though they kick out their puppety feet every so often. Is the puppeteer deep in thought? Could they have surrendered?

"...The final acts happened late." Teruko, at last, speaks once more. "Into the morning... there would run many risks of another coming upon them acting... would there not?"

This should be the point in time Chartreuse interrupts. Good news, no such thing. It's still Teruko talking.

"Is it possible, the final opening... happened just before the invitation to come to the pool that morning began its creation?" So seems to think Teruko, in that quiet speaking voice of hers. "Perhaps... it was to ensure the resident was to be accounted for," that would be Osuji, "and not wandering around themselves... only then, might they have had the confidence to proceed..."

But is that it?

"I wouldn't think so. Why would they have to worry about Osuji? He is blind after all." he says, gesturing to the actor beside him. "No offense." he adds.

"Let me give you an idea of what happened. If the killer set Akira on a delayed hook and established a lengthy alibi, they still had to have killed Shiho by 3 am. But this requires them to prepare for that. After all, they needed a few things. I'd say this is what they did immediately after forming their alibi, the killer enacted the next phase of their plan which involved ending the life of Shiho Kisaragi, doing so exactly at 3 am. But here's the thing... with the glue still being damp on both notes by the time we found them in the morning, they had to have been very recently made. I'd imagine it takes a long time to create the note in such a manner, cutting words from books. Not only that, but there's also one other thing they needed to do in the pool before the morning announcement."

What could that possibly have been?

Teruko seems to cast a glance around the courtroom in the ensuing quiet after the question is being asked. Is she waiting for someone else to say something...?

"Oh." She clears her throat, as though... embarrassed? "I suppose... that I should say, if... someone else won't."

She takes in another deep breath? Her shoulders appear to slack slightly as she leans ever forward. Chartreuse's arms wave slightly in a panic as they're in fear of falling over.

...

Apparently now this is a part for her to go into detail on, Teruko speaks. "You wouldn't conjecture, to speak in pure theory" Teruko addressed everyone. Guessing by all appearances Teruko continues, "Of course... our killer had to plant one of the letters, constructed after Shiho became deceased?" she finishes up speaking...

Teruko leans back and seems to shoot some sort of glance - an assumed one - straight, if somewhat to the right? Chartreuse waves an arm as though with a scolding finger. Teruko's facial expression seems entirely humorless.
Spoiler : Alnar :
Let's have a meta-humor moment here and pretend this was someone else's line - Ai's, maybe? - and that she was staring at the teleprompter waiting for them to say it.

Ha ha ha.
Spoiler : GuardianDreamer :
These words kind of sound like words Ai might say. The inflection of her words are incredibly similar in this statement!

...

Maybe she's just covering for her while she's not paying attention...?
Spoiler : SwagmaWampyr :
...Was that Teruko or Ai who just spoke?
Spoiler : Singi :
Aaaaaah! She's stealing your script lines!

Katsurou gave a small laugh to the short skit of Teruko. Sadly, the silence was deafening in this courtroom. With only few speaking, it was up to him to bring it all together one last time.

"I think we've spent enough time coming up with theories and what if's." he declares, adjusting his glasses. "As said in the beginning of this trial, this entire murder is a story..." he shoots a quick glance to Teruko before continuing, "...one that must be pieced together in order to find out what lay behind the curtains."

He points his hand outward, palm open, and shouts, "Allow me to take you all back to the very beginning, to where this murder began. From there, the truth shall be revealed!"

Start from the beginning, and work your way from there. Let the questions guide your thought, then connect it all together at the end to solve the crime. he thought, having a good idea how everything played out by now.
Where did it all begin?

"The crime all started with a plan. On the night of the crime, our culprit readied everything they needed in order to carry out the first part of their plan."

What did the culprit need?

"The culprit entered the Science Lab on the second floor, where they obtained the Portable Generator and the Wire and Clamps. Though unknown to them, Teruko Wada was also around. The first time the door opened to the Sick Bay was Teruko checking on Osuji. Leaving shortly after, Teruko missed the second opening of the Sick Bay door, the killer entering to obtain the straitjacket. They believed Osuji to be asleep, but they were confident in their ability not to wake the blind actor up. Sneaking by Osuji without making a sound, they retrieved the straitjacket and immediately left the Sick Bay. They also needed a weapon, so they obtained a baseball bat from the gym at some point."

With the tools ready, what did the killer do next? Who did they call?

"The killer summoned Akira Nakajima to the pool before midnight. Though we have no evidence, we can only assume there was originally a first letter involved that is now disposed of."

What happened to them at the pool?

"It is here where the killer, a master of stealth, attacked Akira from behind with the baseball bat. Due to the force of the blow, Akira fell unconscious.

With Akira unconscious, what did the killer do next? What did they do to ensure Akira didn't escape if she regained consciousness?

"With Akira unconscious, the culprit set everything up according to their plan: To drown Akira using the Lane Rope Retractor as a delay. To accomplish this, they needed to make sure Akira would not be able to do anything at all in the event that she regained consciousness. The culprit crushed her legs to prevent her from getting up, bound her in a straitjacket to disable her arms and allow the lane ropes to hook onto her, and gagged her mouth to silence her screams if she ever woke up."

With Akira helpess to do anything, what was the next step of the killer's plan? Did they encounter any problems in this step?

"Next, the killer hooked Akira up to the Lane Rope Retractor. The ensured Akira was lying face-down so that she would drown when she hit the water. However! When the killer started the machine, it malfunctioned due to the rusty gears in the gear box. The inspected the machine to fix it. But to their misfortune and perhaps inexperience, they cut their hand on of the gears, getting their blood on it."

Once the machine was fixed, what did the killer do next?

"When the machine finally started slowly dragging Akira into the water, the culprit left the Pool to tend to their injury. It would take some time for Akira to reach the water, which was perfect for establishing an alibi. Once their hand was bandaged... the culprit faked an alibi. Lucky for them, they didn't need to search long, for I approached them that night. From midnight to 2 am, the culprit was with me, making them absent for the time Akira hit the water at 12:45 am, exactly how they wanted it."

After establishing their alibi, what did the killer do?

"It is now 2 am. The killer now proceeded to execute the second stage of their plan: Kill someone else and make it look like they killed Akira. For this, they selected a girl anyone on this ship barely knew: Shiho Kirasagi, SHSL Sukeban.

How did the killer attack Shiho?

"The killer knew they could not match Shiho's skill in combat if they were to do battle, so they made use of their specialty in order to disable her. The killer knocked on Shiho's door, luring her out. Then, when Shiho opened the door and checked who had knocked, the killer snuck right into her room, unseen by Shiho. After all, the culprit is a master of stealth. With Shiho's back turned, the killer struck with the baseball bat, knocking the Sukeban unconscious. This is how the bat has blood on both sides, as well as the reason there is blood on Shiho's floor.

Shiho was now unconscious, what did the killer do next? Did they encounter a problem in this part of the plan?

"Taking the Portable Generator and the Wire and Clamps, likely stored in their room after they had retrieved it earlier, they set everything up in Shiho's room to fake her suicide. The propped her up on a chair, tied her neck to a noose to support her weight, and wired her to the generator with the Strange Metal Objects. Everything was ready, Shiho was hooked up to the generator, but there was a problem! Once again, they had terrible luck. Shiho's sockets were not working! This meant they needed to go outside to the hallway to get the generator working. It would all be done for if they were caught now, so they needed to execute this quickly, wasting as little time as possible. The killer went out of the room with the generator, used Shiho's ID to activate her door lock, threw the ID inside, and closed the door. From there, they plugged the generator in and turned it on, sending an electric pulse to Shiho's feet, causing her to "jump" from her chair and "commit suicide" with the noose around her neck. As soon as this was done, they cut the wires and ran to their room as quickly as possible so as not to be seen by any. Here, they hid the evidence they didn't leave behind.

What did the killer need to do next? Both Shiho and Akira were dead, but how would they pin the blame on Shiho Kirasagi for the murder of Akira Nakajima? What other things did they need to do before morning?

"Shiho was dead, but there was still a problem. Akira was still hooked up to the Lane Rope Retractor and there was nothing linking their two deaths together. The killer also had evidence in their room that would incriminate them if it were ever found, they needed to hide it elsewhere. It was 3 am, they only had 4 hours before everyone was awake. They decided to do the hardest and most time-consuming task first: constructing the letters in order to make everyone think Shiho had called Akira to the swimming pool and murdered her, committing suicide out of guilt afterwards."

After constructing the letters, where did the killer go?

"This took a long time, but once the letters were made, they first went to the pool. They unhooked Akira from the machine and planted the letter on her, one that created the illusion that she was brought there by Shiho. They also disposed of the baseball bat in the Girl's Changing Room, perhaps to further link the murder to Shiho Karasagi. With that done, they now needed to place the second letter they made that would bring someone to the pool in the morning so that they may find the body. The chose Masami Date's room, and slid the letter underneath her door."

With the letters planted, what was the last thing the killer need to do? What evidence did they need to dispose of? Given how much time they had left after constructing the letters, what could have possibly happened?

"With the hardest part of their plan finished, the killer set out to dispose of the evidence, which would only take a few minutes. However, misfortune struck once again! The morning announcement went off! This sent panic into the killer's mind. After all, they had just planted a letter calling Masami to the Swimming Pool right when the announcement began. If Masami saw the killer on the second floor, the same floor Akira was murdered on, this would make them very suspicious! The killer was now in a hurry, they put the generator and the wires back in the Science Lab, but where would they hide? At this moment, Masami could be on her way up the stairs. Then realization struck, if they were to hide, they would do so in the Sick Bay. After all, Osuji was there, blind, they wouldn't know someone was in the room with them. And if for some reason the culprit did get found, what's so suspicious about being in the Sick Bay with a patient inside? This is the third time the door to the Sick Bay opened: The culprit quickly sneaking inside to wait until the body was found."

Who is the killer? What evidence proves this?

"And our killer is therefore the person who arrived at the pool after Tsuyotoko Osuji. Why? Because they were hiding in the Sick Bay that time, they needed to wait for Osuji to get up and leave so that no one would know they were there. Finally, it all ended once everyone was in the Swimming Pool, called by the scream of Masami Date and the resulting Body Discovery Announcement."
Katsurou pauses, smiling as he looked the culprit in the eye.

"The events that night and their results point to one person! Who has the skills necessary to sneak into a room without making a sound? Who is a master of stealth, capable of going by unnoticed even by people in front of them and attacking them from behind? Who had an alibi for the murder of Akira Nakajima, yet no alibi for the faked suicide of Shiho Kisaragi? Who has an injury on their hand, the source of the blood on the gear in the Lane Rope Retractor? Who was last to arrive at the crime scene when in fact they should have been one of the first to arrive due to their profession?"

Evidence Bullet Fired! Order of Arrival

The order the students arrived at the first crime scene is:
-Masami
-Hazuki, Katsurou, Ai
-Ryuunosuke, Ryuunosuke, Naota, Teruko, Aloysius
-Chouko
-Osuji
-Masahiro

Katsurou dramatically points to the culprit, and shouts their name. "The answer is you, Masahiro Honda, SHSL Ninja! You are the killer of Akira Nakajima and Shiho Kisaragi!"

Ryuunosuke impatiently muttered "Yeah, yeah, get to the point." and "Can't you keep it shorter?" during Katsurou's explanation, but remained silent after it ended.

"...Seems legit enough." he commented, keeping his eyes on the accused person. He seemed tense, as if ready to quickly jump into cover should something happen.

"That's probably it, then. Good job figuring all that out. I mean, we did a good job."

While he was putting on a forced smile, the harsh look in his eyes suggested a more violent emotion.

All eyes now lay upon Masahiro, except for Osuji's that is. It seemed that Katsurou's grand solution was enough to convince the rest of the class to suspect her. She didn't look tense, or shocked, or worried. She kept that same attitude and aura that had come to be a signature of the SHSL Ninja. Did this not faze her? Was she not utterly devastated that Katsurou had trounced her?! Or was there something else...? Did Masahiro have a reason to be this confident, under such pressure? Did she have more ninja tricks up her sleeve?

"I, Masahiro Honda. I, the demon who strikes fear towards the night sky, and salts the wounds of those who dare challenge me. I, a murderer? Ha ha ha! A murderer! Masahiro Honda, a murderer! Perish the thought! Masahiro Honda is no murderer. Nothing so foul. Commander of demon legions, yes. Master of the art of the darkness, yes. The world's most ultimate ninja, yes! A murderer, no! No such thing! And I find it most disrespectful that you would dare suggest such an outrageous thing!"

So she was going to keep denying it? Katsurou's solution was concrete, wasn't it? Sure, somebody else could have done it, but when you add everything together it's just so obvious. So why was she still standing strong in her defense? There couldn't possibly be a way out of this corner the class had backed her into.

"I am no murderer," she announces calmly, no weakness in her voice.

"I am an executioner."

Masahiro's atmosphere of pure terror extends, and absorbs the entire trial in darkness. Just her words can shake the class. For this is no joke, no delusion. Everyone can tell immediately from just the young girl's voice, that this is definite truth.
Image
"Allow me to remind you all. The Executioner themselves stands in this very court! I shall impart upon you, mortals, the tales of their deeds once more. In the very city I call home, I hunt throughout the night! Nobody suspects me, nobody sees me, until it is far too late... Dead! Executed! Assassinated!! That is the fate of these poor victims! This killer, they are a fearsome foe. A master of the shadows. Yes, I declare it to be I! Masahiro Honda!"

She stand proud of her title. Such a delusional mind, this Masahiro. A demon general? A harbinger of destruction? Is this not what she constantly told the class? Yet nobody did believe her. Of course, her words were taken as the mad ravings of a strange child. Yet, in reality, Masahiro Honda was always a demon. A monster beyond belief.

"I seek no pleasure in carrying out my orders. I seek no fame, no riches. I only seek to serve. To cut down those that I must cut down, and to protect my family. For this, I am a demon. One who shall instill pure dread in any name I am given! Whether I am evil, or just: It is not for the judgement of mortals. All you may do is behold my presence, and cower beneath my grandness!!"

There's no mistaking it, this was a confession.

"It is as you so expertly deduced, Shirasagi Katsurou. Yes, I would argue you have recounted my acts. Perhaps not to fine detail, but to the degree that I cannot dare rebut it any longer. So I do not hide from myself! No, I am a demon who has collected the heads of hundreds! Yet I am no murderer. I am a tool. I am the arm of my family, I am the knife that slices through the hearts of the unfortunate. I am the targe that wards off those who would harm them."

"Yet, as much searching as I performed. As much hunting as I did, I could not find the one who would harm my family. Who would dare to endanger them!" she throws a shuriken towards the headmaster, which the bear quickly bats back to Masahiro. She catches it without hesitation, as if expected the reaction "The one behind this contraption! As soon as they threatened my family, I attempted to discover them, and drain their soul from this mortal plane! But not a clue did I find! With no other option, I instead struck the two who fell most recently. Akira Nakajima, Shiho Kisaragi. I had no orders to attempt their life, yet it was what I had to do. Think not that I did it to cure your ailment, or to save your loved ones. No, for I do not care for such worthless mortal lives..."

"I did this to defend my family. I do not like that I executed two who I had not received the names of. I mourn them, and I apologise. But I did what I must. And I have succeeded. Whether I die here today, or live on, it is irrelevant. I am the arm of my family, but to save them I had to be cut off. Yet one can live without a limb, and my honour shall keep them strong. I have no regrets, no. I only desire that I could have found the one who trapped us here, and drew their blood myself for daring to threaten my family. My ghost shall rest easy when their head rolls."

"So go on, mortals! Convict me for my crimes! I have ended more lives, taken more years, than I ever could have lived. Do I deserve such a fate? One cannot say. But I shall not run from it. I do not fear death, for I have long since fulfilled my purpose in life. So I die with pride! Cast your votes! Sentence me to my death! Those are the rules of this game!"

"Did someone say 'Execution-bear' or do I need to get my ears cleaned?"

Monokuma-sensei's Extracurricular Lesson

A mocking voice pierces the atmosphere of the courtroom, the silence in the wake of Masahiro's confession.

"Upupu... Well, aren't you the eager-beaver!"

Image

"Still, if you insist, how could I refuse~!? Gyahaha!"

Image

"Though, before we get to voting, there's one thing I need to make abundantly clear..."

Image

"Executioner, schmexecutioner... On this ship, you're just another one of my passages. No matter how hard you searched, no matter how badly you wanted to kill me... It was always 100% impossible."

Image

"Some assassin! At this rate, all you're going to have done is get yourself killed!"

Image

"But, hey. I've rambled enough now. Let's get on with the vote."

Image

"Just like last time, it's the Monokuma vote! Choose your favorite murderer~! Who will live~? Who will die?! I can't wait!"

The top wooden panel of each students stand slides back to reveal a touchscreen containing 16 buttons showing each of the 16 students. The images of Yakuro, Sigmund, Shiho and Akira have been crossed out with a red/pink X and have been greyed out. On Osuji's, a little voice comes out of the touchscreen saying where all the buttons are.

It's clear what needs to be done. Select who you believe is the killer.

Please write your vote in a spoiler tagged for GM reading only! Other players are not to read these tags! Anyone who hasn't voted before execution time will be set to have automatically voted for who the GM's consider to be the majority's consensus at the time of voting.

"Your... family." Teruko's words are difficult to hear. Any louder, and they may well have risked interrupting the (actual) SHSL Assassin's assessment of their latest assassinations.

Chartreuse has since clattered onto the ground, which appears to have freed her right hand to seemingly cover her mouth. (This would likely be why those words are quiet.) The shuriken that goes between the assassin to the bear - and back - goes quickly enough that she does not appear to flinch. It may just be that she never noticed... such is the assassin's precision.

"Those were the two... you chose." Her tone of voice is indescribable. This is punctuated by a grunt of some sort that is far too muffled by her hand to be considered as anything else. It's difficult for anyone - or anything - to stand out before the presence of menace that the self-proclaimed demon appears able to put out. "You... went that far for them... and... yet..."

She never audibly finishes her words, whatever they may have been. She never seems to think of continuing this train of thought over the Captain's invitation for those to vote for the culprit.

Her left hand gently lifts with care. Her cast vote is paced slowly... almost deliberately. Hesitation? Her right hand remains over her mouth, parting once only in brief but without any clear reason before it is affixed back in that habitual concealing position.
Spoiler : Topaz :
She's... holding something in her left hand. Masahiro can glimpse very briefly to some weight in her left sleeve as she dares to risk exposing it to cast her vote. What is she concealing? Why?

She appeared to drop Chartreuse shortly before the headmaster was attacked. Was she simply taken aback, as a lesser demon like herself would be, and neglected to hold her tool of the trade?

Teruko saw Masahiro in the middle of her plot, and no explanation has been forced out of her as to why she was even where she was. She was the first to truly accuse Masahiro.

...Could she have known, in some fashion? Could she be... in the end... this so-called lesser demon...

...

That will be a question for others to answer, upon this cruise of life and death, of hope and despair.

...

Thanks for playing! You did a great job on the murder, and you were very entertaining to read when you posted. Things got bleak for a while in getting people motivated to keep going, but Alnar and I had a lot of fun OOCly teaming up to hash out your handiwork.
Spoiler : GuardianDreamer :
She sounds relieved.

Because her face is so entirely hidden between her hair and hand, it is impossible to tell if she were about to laugh, or cry.

One can nail the relief as an absolute.
Spoiler : Alnar :
You are seeing similar cues to when she was starting to freak out back in the Science Room...

There's something else about all this - something that happened during this whole incident - that should be seen as strange, but... I'm not going to spell that one out for you, this time. It's not something that requires an immediate notice or answer.
Spoiler : GM Notes :
The vote is for Masahiro Honda.

You guys will get your lengthy fun time inner thoughts another time for your continued hard work. Right now, I'm just so happy to see a mystery largely solved by the players this time! Never mind the sluggishness of the investigation and trial, we finally had one that didn't end in drama!

This crowd, what of it remains, may have yet learned their lesson. Well, some of it. (They need to be able to motivate themselves to play of their own volition, but, one step at a time.)

Masami stood there at the... Revelation, for the lack of a better term. She honestly had no idea what was going on. She was pretty confused about the whole ordeal. She wanted to understand why Masahiro-chan had done this in the first place. Her family? Killing thousands? What... What was the whole deal about that?

But... Above all, she couldn't help but feel a certain... Apathy to the whole ordeal. An emptiness. A coldness about the whole situation.

...

Still, it was time to vote.
Spoiler : GM :
Masami votes for Yakuro Masahiro.

...

For the record, I don't mind if you put Yakuro down as a joke, so long as we get the proper killer. xD

"Family... for such a reason, you..."

Ryuunosuke took a deep breath, apparently relaxing again now that everything had proceeded to the vote without incident.
After a brief moment at apparently trying to control himself, one of his fists landed firmly on the stand in front of him, trying to drill itself into the wood.

"Tch, you're even worse than the last guy! You're... there's no point telling you anything, is there? You mourn them? REALLY? You killed TWO when one would have been enough! But don't worry, I'm more than happy to give you what you want."

Ryuunosuke's eyes widened to an unsettling degree while he clenched his fists to a point where one might have to worry about his fingers carving into his own skin.

"Because... you know what? You deserve to be burning in hell."

He raised his other hand, smashing his finger down on the voting panel.
Spoiler : GM notes :
Masahiro Honda.

Osuji's hands shook. As usual, he was at a loss for words. Too many emotions raced through his head. The old, furious side of him wanted to run up to this... assassin and punch her in the face. And yet, this... calmer side of him he had been trying to develop emphasized with her. Killing people you weren't close to to protect others who mean more to you. That's not all that different, is it...? Most of the heroes don't know the henchmen of the bad guys they kill, just for associating themselves with villains.

Even more importantly than that... he had gravely misjudged one Satsuko Komi. He was never truly the SHSL Assassin. Now more than ever, that was apparent... the real one was exposed to all. Sure, Satsuko did pull some rather childish stunts this trial, but it was no worse than anything Osuji had done to him. He really wished the two of them could just move on from this and try to start over, but he understood it would take time.

Time they would have, now... if the correct culprit was chosen. Although it was honestly really obvious at this point, even he was able to tell... still, something didn't sit well with him. He wasn't able to take an active role in finding the culprit. Not that he did much last time, all he really did was scream and yell and point fingers, but... this time, he completely left control of the case with Katsurou. Osuji would follow wherever Katsurou took him. And here we were. Masahiro. Did Osuji accept this choice?

He didn't need to think long about it, but... he found it strangely difficult to commit to the vote. Before he finally willed his finger to push the button, two words softly escaped his lips. Two words he thought he would never say to a murderer.

"I'm sorry..."

He wasn't sure Masahiro heard him. But he also wasn't sure it really mattered anymore.

"Family..." is what Katsurou echoes as Masahiro went about her confession.

Not that you can't understand where she's coming from. he thinks to himself. Yet the aura Masahiro projected, it was a fearsome being of pure malice that would stop at nothing to accomplish their goal. Just the thought of that chilled him. Honestly, she could just kill them all here if she really wanted to. What harm could be done? She was going to die anyway...

A chilling thought indeed.

"There are some lengths people will go to given the right motive... It's unfortunate that yours was found..." he says, almost laughing at the one word.

"Unfortunate... Really, such a skilled Assassin you were, yet quite a few things did not go your way during the crime. The machine, the generator, the witness, the announcement... Quite the stroke of bad luck there..." He's definitely holding back a laugh there.

"My sympathies go out to your family, Honda. But as per the rules of this... game... You, the killer, The Executioner, must be executed yourself."

He takes the duct tape in his hand and pulls out the shuriken embedded into the roll of tape. He smiles as he holds it up, looking at it. "A memento to remember you by, I suppose. Just like your other belongings I found back in that room..."

He smiles, closing his eyes. Perhaps a small laugh could be heard from him.

"Ah, but that doesn't matter anymore. I'm afraid that just like you must fulfill your service, I must accomplish the task that was given to me. As Surrogate of Justice, I hereby vote for a killer."

Katsurou doesn't hesitate as he casts his vote.

"Thanks for playing, Honda Masahiro."
Spoiler : Topaz :
So, looks like he did find your smoke pellets in Sigmund's Room.

OOC: Good job on the murder, Topaz. It was really fun to piece together! It was also fun to read Masahiro as a whole, makes me wish I could've interacted with her more back then. But well, I'll make do with how much I enjoyed this trial. Your grand Masahiro theories will be missed.
Spoiler : GM Notes :
The killer murders the victim.

The jury convicts the culprit.

And it is by their hand, that they kill the killer.

In the end, we're killers. We choose to end the life of this individual, for the sake of justice. Yet it is just the same, we just like to believe otherwise.

Vote: Katsurou Shirasagi
