As great as that sounds, they'd have to censor a LOT of things... and the story wouldn't make a lot of sense with those things removed. Genealogy IS the darkest game in the series(sacrifices, slavery, and much more...) then again, I've seen a lot of games push the boundaries of a T rating and get away with it. Then again, I don't have a Wii, so I guess this wouldn't really impact me.

Never played 4. I'm in the middle of playing 10 again on normal mode. Dear god, I can't even imagine what hard is like...*Shivers*

God, I can't get passed 1-8. I hate that place with a passion.

Never played Shadow Dragon, but I can confirm that the other three are of quite a high level of awesomeness and require no knowledge of the Japanese language whatsoever.

So... this new game is more anime-ish than the other titles. Not to say that the others weren't anime-styled, but this one is... well, moreso. Not sure what to think about that. Still getting used to the art style, but I think it could work well.

I am in the process of playing Shadow Dragon right now, my first Fire Emblem game!

So far, it's great. I get so OCD though. I just can't stand to let ANY of my units die!

Also, I am planning to get Radiant Dawn and the Path of Radiance with any money I get from Christmas.

Holy moly this thread is old. Seriously it was in the fourth page of the Video Games section (ALMOST at the fifth page), and this was way back when Reyson was still called JPM. Awaken, thread!

Anyway, Fire Emblem Awakening has been released in Japan for quite a while now, and I've been spoiled on a lot. But I'm not here to talk about spoilers. I'm here to talk about the Fire Emblem: Awakening English Trailer. Have to say that it looks like a great translation so far, and I'm pretty hyped for it. I hear that Awakening will reach North American shores during Q1 of 2013, which is anywhere between January 1st and March 31st.

So, what do all of you think of the trailer? I have to say that I quite like a lot of the localized names, though Sully (The Red Cavalier who most fans called "Soiree" before) seems to be getting a lot of hate for her localized name. Personally, I think I'll get used to it. I think the name change I'm most fond of is Virion (Blue-haired Archer)... Not sure why, but I really like that name.

Also, as I've made really clear in the Topic of Randomness, I'm playing through all the FE games to get ready for Awakening. Currently on Radiant Dawn, which may take a long time or a short time, depending on numerous factors.

So im playing FE7 again, as i mentioned on the Xat. How is Legault always better than Matthew by the time i get him, even if I've been training Matthew consistently...? Also this is the first time I've let Erk survive to be a sage, so that's cool. Though it occurred to me afterwards that in a game with a good druid like Canas it would have made more sense to use Canas and Lucius to fill all four magic types with just two mages. Oh well. Anyway i cant wait to write the epilogue for this one.

The thing is that you're kind of EXPECTED to switch to Legault once you get him. Of course, Matthew is considered better in Ranked Playthroughs since he can get you the Silver Card and Legault can't. (Though the Silver Card only exists in EHM and HHM, if I remember right) And of course, most people use Jaffar as an Assassin instead of promoting Legault or Matthew. But yeah. Don't worry about it. Most people switch to Legault, sort of like how a lot of people switch from Chad to Astol in FE6.

Also, speaking of Erk, he's another good example of this. A lot of people use Erk as a mage, but then drop him once they get Pent. Of course, this is more the exception rather than something that's ordinary, since the vast majority of early-game units end up surpassing later units you get. (Which makes sense: You WANT rewards for raising up early units into powerhouses.)
