Re: [T][CE] TTT ●
A non-spoilery review for now. Spoilery thoughts later, when I have a chance! I'm sometimes stunned by the sheer writing speed of AAO users. AAOers have turned around massive, multi-part work in the span of a single case comp. Those works are often impressive, but also inconsistent - the gameplay ha...

Re: [T][CE] TTT ●
I saw people saying good things about this on the Discord, so I gave it a try. I've finished the second chapter up to now - thoughts so far. So far, this is a well-paced, polished, engaging case that shows signs of a lot of care and editing, with punchy dialogue and a tense, moody atmosphere. The Ze...

Re: [M][CE] HALLOWEEN HERO ●
I could remove the linebreaks and store that as this number: 1111100001011110100001111. But here's the problem. AAO can't store numbers that long in its variables. I can't recall the exact limit, but I tested it and found that you could only have so many digits before AAO would start cutting them o...

Re: [T] Turnabout Unmasked ●
Trying to make a shorter, focused game sounds good! You definitely have the basics down and a good sense of style and fairness, so I think that could turn out excellently.

Re: [T] Turnabout Unmasked ●
Enth asked me to take a look at this trial! Having played through it, a few comments: * This trial is goofy, and usually, the goofiness pays off. I have a soft spots for trials that take the absurdity of the AA universe and crank it up a little, so this worked for me. * What was a bit less effective...

Re: [M] The Presidential Turnabout
I played this. I needed to get some help to get through some of the most frustrating sequences, but I played it! A review containing relatively minor spoilers: I don't not intend to argue about whether this case is in good taste or bad taste. You defend Lee Harvey Oswald on the charge of killing JFK...

Re: [T] Turnabout Uprising
Yes, I played it! You've gotten the general hang of using music, sound effects, and sprites, but the writing is definitely a tricky point. I think, all questions of grammar and word usage aside, the biggest problem is that the case seems very rushed. Not just short - short is fine! - but that the lo...

Re: [T] Turnabout Uprising
I’m a teacher, so Enthalpy asked me to take a look. If I had to guess, I think what your teacher meant was not that you don’t make grammatical errors, but rather that everyone makes some errors when learning to write. In other words, it’s fine that your writing has some problems when you’re learning...

Re: [UCANT] Turnabout Bakeshop (Released!)
Thanks for the comments and issue reports! Blackrune: I think this has to do with how I'm handling dialogue pauses; I may be too greedy with my while-loop. Semper Solus: There IS a way to make a Linux distributable in Unity! I just don't have a Linux box to test it on. It's probably best to make one...

Re: [T][CE] Strangers in the Land of Turnabouts ●
I enjoyed this a lot! I'm not sure I entirely followed some of the logic of the ending, which seemed a bit rushed and maybe a little too convenient, but it was well-presented and clever. I can't really say more without spoiling it, but it's worth a play.

Re: [UCANT] Turnabout Bakeshop (Released!)
Acid Rain: Thank you for the detailed review! Another player also noted that the case wasn't emotionally engaging enough until the endgame. I think this is in part because I didn't find enough space for Wocky and Plum to speak early on, and didn't make Klavier enough of a threat when that pile of ev...
