Re: [CE] [T] Prof. Layton & the Heavenly Scheme ●

Having played this, some quick comments! First of all, I did enjoy it a great deal, especially the well-clued and entirely fair and completely ridiculous puzzle about How Kristoph got past Godot It's not easy to make a case this gleefully dumb without making it completely obtuse and frustrating, so ...

Re: I'll Face Myself

Thanks to Enth for hosting the comp, and to Tiagofvarela for testing!

Progress on finishing Turnabout Bakeshop is pretty solid, even if work stalled it for the last few days, and I hope to have more ready for testing soon.

Re: I'll Face Myself

Okay. Pretty much exactly one week to go. I have... written pretty much what's necessary for UCANT itself, though I'll likely need to make some changes. Now to write the case! So far, i've got an intro and a lobby scene. This is going to go just great, isn't it? (I expect the entry will not be all t...

Re: [T][CE] A Batty Turnabout ☆

This is a very good case. While there are some places where the puzzle logic could be a bit clearer, the use of lots of optional presents and pathways prevents the case from being a repetitive guessing game, which many trials become. It's more like a conversation. I strongly, strongly recommend that...

Re: Turnabout The First

Review:

Two trials like this would be too many, but one is just enough. I'm giving this a baffled thumbs-up.
Spoiler : I mean :
I would normally say the Undertale references were derivative... but fixing the press button after breaking it was pretty good.

Re: [M] Endless Nights - Daybreak

Looking back on this one, I would argue that Daybreak is the strongest EN we've had yet overall. Here's why: Strengths: * Tightness. Every element served a purpose. Daybreak did not waste time with red herrings. Everything was either a clue to the real answer, or a trap. BP followed Carr's dictum t...

Re: [M] Endless Nights - Daybreak

Spoiler : Finishing up. :
(I discussed this more with BP in chat and he clued me as to where to focus.)

One last option remains. "I killed everyone..." You, Mr. "call-me-Remiel", are secretly I.

Re: [M] Endless Nights - Daybreak

Maya Fey would have set off the metal detectors. If the detective was present when she did that, he would have noticed. That was covered up by a strange "gap," though. Phoenix Wright is the detective... this is confirmed in red. But... The detective was not present the moment when Maya cr...

Re: [M] Endless Nights - Daybreak

Spoiler : Rebuttal continued :
But that's not all!

The Maya Fey I know was zapped with a taser in the evidence room and reacted as a human being!

So who is this?!

Re: [M] Endless Nights - Daybreak

Spoiler : Hold it. :
But hold on.

We never really did establish this...

If Maya is a robot... how did she get through the metal detector?

That seems like a wild contradiction!
