I'm guessing he made the width tinier, and the left the height as it was.

I think you need to add shading around the, um, "chest" area.

Diego, I don't think you understand. Use the PW VS sprite on CR. Then make sure they are centered more in the end. Make the animation fast and smooth, like a speeding truck coming to a halt, but still moving a little bit before the end. Match my avatar's scroll in speed and progression to get a sense on how fast and smooth it should be. Oh, and if you can edit Mia's VS sprite (base on CR) to make it fit Lana, then great. Otherwise, stick to your Lana VS sprite.
(You messed up on PW. Lana was ok, Henke put you in the wrong direction. You can blame him later)

I can't find anything wrong with it, but maybe I'm missing something...

I don't know how to describe it. The standard VS screen goes fast and asymptotes to slow then stops. Yours... well it kinda oscillates between fast and slow... it seems that way. It looks rushed at the end. Why don't you move your characters much closer the second frame after your characters appears? Same for the third frame after they appear. Work from there, and it'll be smoothed out.

You're using a lot of frames. How many in that .gif?
