Re: Remeniscence: AAO Mafia Round IV
Why would I tell them at all? That be idiotic like heck! Having layton was an information source to figure out who the other mafians and the joker was so we could later try to kill them, why on earth would we give the KH mafia OR ANYONE ELSE for that matter a way to help turn it around and find us?
The short version of it is, whether I was townie or mafia, It would have been stupid to try to let layton's identity get out. And even more stupid to let them get killed, unless we found out they were gonna search us with one of those 100% investigations, which wasn't happening.

We have different styles of playing, I guess. And we've hashed this enough.

Different styles of play nothing! What possible good reason would there be to tell a mafia group who the investigator is if you know who they are? Either A. They kill them and you lose an information source and contact, or B. They get the investigator to check you out and you be screwed if your in the mafia, or one of the town roles.

Styles? STYLES?
This is strategy we're talking about, VC. If you have an investigator that trusts you (AND you can manipulate investigations), that's the perfect combination for infinite lynching! Furthermore, if you look at the rules, mafia factions are not working together, but against each other AND the town!
Cut.

Styles I meant as in how I'd react, as apposed to him. I wasn't expecting anything close to that. Also, while they may be against each other, it doesn't mean they still can't use each other.

Thus I ask you again. What possible good reason would there be to tell a mafia group who the investigator is if you know who they are?

video, I see what you're getting at, but Giovanni can manipulate investigations and Scribs trusted him. Telling anyone else would be bad. If Scribs was getting suspicious of AS, maybe... MAYBE telling someone who Scribs was might be helpful. Even then, AS would only be making himself more suspicious.

And even then, screwing with investigations only could help me in two ways.
protecting J&J, and helping find roles. If i screwed with a target of layton's and it came up nilla town, that would mean they had to have either a role, or be in the mafia.

Y'know, I don't exactly think she's TOLD the investigation's been tinkered with. Nonetheless, I REALLY don't want to talk about this anymore, okay?

and hey you never did answer the question.
What possible good reason would there be to tell a mafia group who the investigator is if you know who they are?

A better question is why you would approach another Mafia Group...

Re: Remeniscence: AAO Mafia Round IV
Simple, if they know who the investigator is, you can kill someone else, instead of two hits accidentally targeting the same player, the town needed as many roles as they could get. Hitting Layton could be, and was, a serious blow. And it could be trouble if they found Pete, or J&J, and such.
Cut: I've been through this before. Now, I'm tired of having to go through this numerous times, can we PLEASE drop the "I don't understand your reasoning" thing now? I told you, part of it was instinct, as well!

The point is though, if you have control of the investigator, you wouldn't want them dead. All it'd do is cast suspicion on the people who knew, and cut you off from a resource.

Re: Remeniscence: AAO Mafia Round IV
As far as Scribs knows, AS is a vanilla townie. He shows up as Townie unless it's a 100% accurate investigation, after all. AS wouldn't want Scribs to die. If AS ever gets accused, he can get help from Scribs, since she believes that he's a townie. He gets reliable information from an investigator. It's a win-win situation.EmaTheScienceSkye wrote:video, I see what you're getting at, but Giovanni can manipulate investigations and Scribs trusted him. Telling anyone else would be bad.
